Packing for seven people is crappy – Hive and Nest

Is it just me or has the blogging world been a little dull lately? I haven’t got much to say these day, and I don’t think I’m the only one. I would like to blame the lack of things to say on the fact that I’m getting ready to take the kiddles on vacation. I’ve been packing and getting ready every day. All my mental energy is going into that. However If you read my tiny post from yesterday you’ll know that’s not true at all. I’m lying. I haven’t started getting ready one single bit (actually I did buy a little play-doh toy at Target yesterday to take on the plane.) I don’t even know where we’ll be staying in Utah County yet, but I’m sure I’ll figure something out.
I will be flying with my six children to Utah next week sans husband. I will spend 14 fun-filled days trying to get together with every person we’ve ever met who lives in the state. It sounds like we’ll be busy but when it shakes down I think we’ll spend a lot of time just kicking back. Which is what a vacation is all about, n’est-ce pas?
Mister will only be going to Utah for a couple of days. Just long enough for Arabella’s baptism and the homecoming of our nephew who has been on a mission in Mexico. The rest of the time he’ll be installing wood floors in our family room. At least that is what he has sworn he will be doing. He has no tools and no idea how to install a floor, but I’ve spread the word and have several men who have promised to give him a call and help out. And I’ll be personally ripping the carpet out before I go so he has no choice (plus he gets sick from lots of dust so I would have to rip it out anyway.)
